11 Things I’ve Learned I Wish I Had An Older Sister To Teach Me
I believe that both for girls and boys having a sister is a blessing in life. She is someone who will always be by your side, a mentor to show you the right path and a best friend to support you in every step of the way. But I would like to talk about girls and share the 11 “life lessons” I’ve learned I wish I had an older sister to teach me.
Always Be Confident
You should never doubt your strengths, you can do anything you put your mind to. Of course, sometimes you will fail, but that is okay. I heard a phrase someone said “A winner is a loser who tried 100 times” and I totally agree with it. Be confident, truth yourself and never, never let anybody to let you down from the pedestal of life you stand in!
Don’t Be Vague
Believe me, it is necessary to be determined, to know precisely what you want and for what you need it. In the future, this character trait will help you very much in your career and in your relationships with people, both romantic and friendships.
Be Friendly, But Keep Your Circle Small
Communicate with people around you and be friendly and kind. But remember: keep your circle small. When it comes to the close ones it’s about quality, not quantity, so wait till you know people better and only then let them to come to your world.
Eat Healthy
Healthy diet is an essential of taking care of your body, so eat healthy. Fresh fruits and vegetables, more protein and organic products — keep it this way and you will feel better, you will naturally become more beautiful, and your mental health will thank you. But don’t forget the 80/20 rule!! Health must be pleasure, and sometimes for me a tasty cheeseburger feels like heaven 🙂
Do Sports
It’s not only for the looks, but for the health. You should take care of it since youth and I convince you, you will be very grateful to yourself in the future. Moving body is also a good thing helping with anxiety and stress that are common things in adolescence, so here is the third reason to follow a sporty lifestyle. I’ve never seen somebody leaving a gym and feeling down.
Educate Yourself
There’s no beauty without intelligence! Read more books, study anything your heart wants to, watch art and focus on developing your brain. The truth is that we by ourselves create our destiny and education with intelligence are the keys to successful life.
Do Not Snoop Around
One of the most important rules is never gossiping. Firstly, if you gossip with someone, they most definitely later will talk bad about you behind your back. Secondly, why should you be interested in someone’s personal life especially if it’s in a bad way if you have to take care of your life? Keep your karma clean, you don’t need this.
Pick Good Perfumes
Smelling good is an art. Pick your type of perfume (scented body cream or oil, fragrance, sprays and etc. etc.) and make it your statement odd.
Never Copy No One
You are a personality. You have the whole world inside you, never let yourself down by trying to be somebody else. I am sorry to tell you, darling, but it’s embarrassing. Embrace yourself, create yourself and just be yourself.
Keep Good Relationships With Your Family If You Can
Yes, I know, sometimes our parents or siblings can make mistakes, but I believe that if somebody is important to you, you have to discuss everything together and to the good ending. If you know you can do it, try to be closer with your family.
Not Everybody Is Going To Stay With You Forever
As you grow, people will leave you, or you will leave people. Know when is the time to go and learn how to let go. Never argue and be crazy about someone doing you wrong, believe me in 99% they know what they did you, you don’t need to tell them! Also do not try to save people, you are not a physiotherapist or doctor, let them walk their path, you can’t change them. Not everybody is going to stay with you forever.
